André Joseph's Packard Coldshot Trailer #1 & Priceless

Check this trailer out. André always wanted to do films as a kid he would come from Staten Island to Brooklyn with all his props, Camera and would use, his cousin, me, and other kids from the block as his actors in his short film's. Boy I would like to see some of those, I wonder If he has any of them archived. But you could see his excitement and ambition as a kid. He was serious about his craft throughout the years. His film "Priceless" made a World Premiere in the Tribeca film festival back in October of this year. Be sure to look for the talented Writer, Director, and Actor Mr. Joseph in the near future. At the age of 25, his possibilities are endless.

Us Placers video directed by Va$htie Kola

This has been out for a little while now and is a spec video. But I have to admit when I first saw it I thought it was the real McCoy. I Loved the whole concept, very creative and well put together, It's like the video "The Sky's the Limit" by The Notorious B.I.G remixed and those little kids really favor the actual people that they were meant to portray. I think Vashtie Kola is a smart, talented, and beautiful young lady to look for now and the near future. She has a bunch of different ventures going on including her clothing line Violette. She is also one half of 1992. They are truly paying homage and representing the Original Heads in a time when Hip Hop is in great despair. We'll it depends on who you ask. I'm talking from a mature near 25 year-old perspective. Someone that Love's that Black Moon, Mobb Deep Sound, K-Def production with the Lords of the Underground. When me and brother was coming up all we wanted to do is emulate the older kids. I remember my older brother giving me his Fila headband and rocking it immediately cause it was so Hot. I'm going to find that picture. Below the video is a Picture of me and my siblings on an Easter sunday back in the 90's.

Lloyd Moore "Work of Art" De-Icer 3

This is a Hand drawing from a Co-Worker named Lloyd Moore. I scanned it for him and pieced it back together with Indesign, Because the actual drawing was large. I found it quite interesting. The detail work is excellent. I've seen some of his other work, this guy is definitely talented with his pens and markers. He works the evening shift and when he gets off he draws throughout the rest of the night till the morning. He said his apartment is like an Art studio.

The New Fashion Authority-Antenna Magazine Original Heads unofficial Mission Statement

My Partner and best friend introduced me to Antenna Magazine, so it's only right we show our readers some love. Thank you to everyone that has passed through this blog at least once. We really appreciate it and we could not have done it with out you. Original Heads is expanding using our efforts to form a movement and brand for those people who have an Original sense of mind, and take an Original approach to Life. 2009 Is going to be a big year for City and myself. We look forward to the continued support. But back to the post, Look into this great publication. I read one issue and have to say there going to give the others a hard time, because this is a comprehensive magazine that's not using celebrities to push products, It's everyday people with an articulate fashion sense. That's something that I can truly respect and must say that's a void there filling right now. Music, Fashion, life, food & Politics as usual for the Original Heads. Keep the trends going Mr and Ms Setter's. I don't think anyone has ever done this, Big Shout to the whole Internet. Also look forward to Sneaker Freaker Magazine being sold on here real soon.

Plaxico in trouble with Big Blue

It's sad to see another young talented black Athlete in legal trouble again. I didn't post right away because I was listening to legal and public points that were made. Yeah Plaxico Burress broke the law, But for the most part I don't believe he is a criminal and he had intentions on hurting anyone. Thank God he only hurt himself, Otherwise he would be in more trouble than he is already in. I think he had the Glock .40 for protection. But that's what personal bodyguards and the NYPD are for, although they can't be everywhere at a given time. There's times and places in New York City when a flagrant character maybe walking in your direction. Not a soul around to help you, these are the times you may pray and hope God answers your prayers. So I can see Plaxico's position on walking around with a sidearm although he should of took measures to properly secure it. There's others at fault in this situation including the club. Most Clubs don't even want to let off-duty Police Officers in with there firearm. These are the people that go out everyday put there lives on the line to serve and protect. At the end of the day there are so many people that walk around with illegally concealed firearms, with the intentions to commit felonious acts. These people are commonly referred to by Law Enforcement as Perpetrators aka Perps. Greater efforts need to be made to Prosecute people like that and maybe citizens and Athletes might feel a little bit safer and not walk around with weapons.

Buying a Computer during Tough times

I highly recommend his advice on buying a Computer If you need one during this recession. Although I'm a Mac fan, I can't really afford another one right now so even I will buy a Windows PC. Another thing to consider is what you will be using it for. I plan on buying Serato which is a program that emulates vinyl using an interface and mock vinyls on your traditional turntable setup. I put the specs below the video as an example.

Little Brother Rocked Brooklyn at Southpaw (12/4/07)

Raw Footage captured on my Sony Digital Camera of Little Brother rocking Southpaw in Brooklyn on 12/4/07. I was supposed to put this up a while ago. I just came across it on my hard drive, and said it's never too late. Pardon me on the shaking I got hype. The audio quality isn't great but then again I didn't have a Canon XL-2. I still want one to do films and documentaries, I got script's.

Nokia 5800 Xpress Music a.k.a. "The Tube" Coming soon...

Now here's some competition for the iPhone. I like this little gadget, and I own a iPhone (8GB) first generation. The Nokia is loaded, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording and Carl Zeiss lens, messaging, stereo Bluetooth, a microSD slot, 81MB of internal memory, USB mass storage, personal organizer applications, speakerphone, a 3.5 mm headset jack, assisted GPS, a music player, and PC syncing. It's also a world phone with support for four GSM bands and two HSDPA bands. It's coming out in Europe and Asia in the last quarter of the year. We'll have to wait though.

One of the Best Pizza's in Brooklyn...LA VILLA

La Villa is one of my favorite Pizzeria's in Brooklyn. It's located at 261 Fifth Ave. between Garfield Place and First Street in Park Slope. I've been going here since 2006. I highly recommend the Margherita (D.O.C) Which is what I usually get whenever I go there. This is a Traditional Pizza named after the Queen Margherita di Savoia in the late 1800's for her favorite combination of Homemade Mozzarella, San Marzano Tomatoes, Basil and Olive Oil. The best part is it's baked in a Wood Fired Brick Oven. Below is a picture of the small pie. The Entrees are pretty good too, my wifey loves them.

Now this is a cool action figure. Anybody that knows me can tell you how I feel about the Transformers I used to watch the cartoon as a kid. I Loved the Movie that came out in 2007 and all the toys prior to and currently out. Takaratomy hit with the Music label Soundwave MP3 player. It works with a maximum 1GB miniSD card although it's not included. The Frequency range is not bad 60Hz-16kHz. It comes equipped with a Stereo Earphone output. New Era Travis Barker fitted Hat

Travis Barker and New Era released a cool fitted that's part of the company's Capture the Flag series. The Flag line is a collection of artist-inspired and designed headwear. Barker's hat is based on his drum pads and comes in a leather and wooden latched box. When It's opened the cap is sitting on cushion red silk material, with a small mirror on the inside top. There's also a card signed by him. The Drummer's hat is limited to 300 worldwide, so it will be pretty hard to get one and there $125. There available at New Era's five flagship stores, London, New York, Atlanta, Toronto, and Buffalo and several boutique shops all over the world. I know producers that have Akai drum machine's are going to be checking for this hat.

The Foreign Exchange Leave it All behind "Daykeeper"

As some already know that read my previous post about Little Brother. One of my favorite rap groups of all time. I think because there apart of my generation. I was put on to them by my predecessor Urban Music director while at St. John's, and fell in Love with the sound. Although I can't live without a lot of the early 90's rap tracks and albums. Once again they teamed up with the talented producer Nicolay from the Netherlands to create an album full of sonic heat. Phonte Coleman is a great vocalists on the low and back at it. I had to add this track for those that don't already know about it. I'm really anticipating the album due out on October 10, 2008. I will get myself a copy. Real nice mellow, soulful vibe. Something you can play and not even touch the dial on whatever player your using. Just listen to the single, and hear it for yourself. Daykeeper featuring Muhsinah. Like the album title says "Leave it all behind"

Who are you voting for?

This will be one of the biggest presidential decisions that America will ever have to make. With the Country in serious economic turmoil, gas prices at an all-time high. Prices of everything going up, and people's salaries staying the same. City budgets on the verge of being chopped by billions, based on the tax revenue being lost from the big boys on Wall Street. The financial sector looking for the Feds $700 billion bailout, stemming from the default lending crisis. More people are about to be unemployed. Whoever the next president is will have an arduous job ahead of them. Who will you vote for Tuesday November 4, 2008? I will definitely be at a ballot that day somewhere in Brooklyn. If your not registered to vote go here.
