Nike, Rane, and Serato collaborate

Nike, Rane and Serato team up to come up with a 25th anniversary white Scratch Live edition Air Force 1 sneaker. Included in the package is a custom-made laptop bag by well known Japanese company Head-Porter, a Serato interface, and vinyl record. It was created for a limited number of DJ's across the globe, and will not be available for purchase. Serato Scratch Live allows DJs to control digital audio files on their laptop with vinyl control records on their turntables. I still have to get my hands on my own Serato unit. I was a die-hard vinyl fan ever since I started DJing, and still one to this day. But I can't fight technology, some things you just got to go along with. It's not a way of being lazy, I believe it makes you life easier. Serato is the difference between lugging your whole vinyl collection with you to gig's or having you entire music collection on a hard drive and just carrying a couple of pounds in a backpack. Way to many risks in carrying your precious vinyl collection. When my car was stolen last year, I lost two crates that happen to be in trunk. I think Serato is one of the best things to hit the Digital DJ market in a long time. I recommend it for anyone that's a serious DJ and wants to take their set to another plateau.

Kanye's mother passes away

Kanye West mother Donda West passes away in the early morning hours of November 11, 2007 in Los Angeles California. According to the Associated Press. Donda West was a philanthropist, educator, mother to Kanye and others she won't be forgotten. Though I never got the chance to meet her. I would have said this world needs more mothers like you...that's loving, caring, supportive, even to the point to encourage her son to chase his dreams. A Producer, Rap star. She used to drive him to studio sessions. That's incredible. My condolences go out to Kanye and his family.

It's too late to call a Plumber.

Before you blame the bootlegger take a closer look at how an Artist Album gets leaked.

Attacking our Private Parts

Hip hop-rap music and its culture has been subject to heavy scrutiny by critics and Politicians. A song has been geared towards the "Pull up your pants" movement. Dallas rapper/ordained Minister, Dooney Da' Priest made a rap song titled "Pull Your Pants Up." This is going on in several cities across the U.S.. including Shreveport, La, Atlanta, Dallas, and Stratford, Connecticut. I'm personally not for this. I feel like this is where local Governments literally steps on our "Nuts". People have the right to wear what they want. Yeah, there are ordinances for indecent exposure. But that's when your naked or exposing private parts. I believe its a little exaggerated. Everyone does not wear there pants on the knees or the way its been depicted in pictures during this recent campaign. I don't think it has reached to the point that men are really wearing no underwear and letting there pants still sag like Dallas Deputy Mayor Dwaine Caraway said. The track is currently circulating around the web, if you want to hear it.
