Good news for Blackberry users that own a Mac.

Here's a little tech news. I'm happy to hear about this, I've been a blackberry user for quite sometime now and wondered when RIM was going to come out with an application to sync the Blackberry to the Mac. I always had to use my sister PC In order to download new software or transfer the information from the old phone to new phone.

My take on Asher Roth "His Dream"

This is an excellent, well written song by the young MC known as Asher Roth. This song has really touched me because many people come from broken homes and some don't. I was fortunate up until I was about to start college. When my parents got divorced. It affected me, but It hit my younger brother and sister harder. People don't understand when your so used to someone being there in your life daily to be your backbone and support. Then that person is prematurely gone, that can be detrimental to your success in this tough world. Much respect to Asher's father. The meaning of the song below is deep. I got this from Ruby Hornet
-Patrick King

From Asher Roth:
"Nobody knows about this song but this song is written about my father and my relationship with my father. I think it’s hella interesting in Hip-Hop especially that the father is the figure that always walks out and wasn’t there. There’s always this glorification of a broken home, and don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful thing to share that story, but in my household my father was the one who kind of packed it in when he had kids. He started having children and when he had his first child he was like, “alright, I can’t be running around and trying to chase my dream.” And his dream was that he wanted to be a writer and free lance writing doesn’t pay the bills like that and now he’s got mouths to feed so he packed it in and gets a job and those sacrifices to me were incredible. His dream was special to me because my father was like, ‘take it off the album, I don’t want it on the album, it’s embarrassing to me because I didn’t do anything. All I did was take on the responsibility of a parent.” And I was like, “exactly!” People do not do that, they have these kids and they continue to just do what they do and the next thing you hear is that the father walks out on his son and you weren’t there for me and this and that.

So I wrote a song about his dream, and my father’s dream after he packed it in with writing was making sure that I was happy and making sure that I was doing something that I loved to do. So he put it all to the side and just decided to be a responsible parent and to me, we should be glorifying that, not glorifying the fact that pops decided to walk out. For me, it's a very special song, my dad has been a main stay and making sure that I’m healthy and happy. Every time I have a problem he is there to help me talk about it and I think it’s very important to understand that. You might come from a broken home, a lot of people do. You see marriage – what the divorce rate is crazy – so to have parents that have stayed together is a luxury. I’m absolutely blessed, and I just want people to understand the sacrifices. A lot of the time people get into these relationships and they get married and they're in lust and they love each other on that love, but when they have children they raise kids differently and it’s the children that actually get in the way. It's interesting because some parents will stay together for the kids and I think that’s really important. I’m sure he had some moments where – because my mom is completely left and he is completely right, he is very strict and my mom is a free spirit so they’re total opposites – but my dad stuck it out and was very much a pillar in my life and the reason why I am successful to this day and I think it's important for people to understand. Kids flip out sometimes when their parents ground them and the “I hate you, I hate you!” and they don’t realize the sacrifices their parents have to make on a daily to drive them to baseball practice or to their friends house or anything like that. There are daily sacrifices that parents have to make to make their kids happy and I really want people to understand that. So “His Dream” is a very special record to me in the sense of not only is it personal in the sense that this is my relationship with my father, but on a broader sense it is glorifying the fact that something as simple as being a responsible parent. I think it’s important that people understand that.”

President Obama throws out first pitch at '09 MLB All-Star game

The President threw out the first pitch. Mr. Obama looked very confident stepping out there. I Liked when he was up in the booth with the commentators for one of the earlier innings.

I Like this song by Kanye West and the video "PARANOID" Starring Rihanna, Film Noir

Kanye West - Paranoid
by UniversalMusicGroup

This song has a nice feel to It. Mr. Hudson is on the backing vocals. The video has many elements of Film Noir. It's Rihanna's first public return back in something involving music since the incident with Chris Brown in February.

Michael Jackson was that big to the President of the United States and the Rest of the World

Much Props to President Barack Obama, I don't think a previous president would of commented on the situation, perhaps Mr. Clinton. But Mr. Obama reps I'm trying to get that CNN video up from Anderson Cooper's segment. For all those that are hating stop, your only hurting yourself, he was a Icon in your lifetime and mines and there will never be another. R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson "The King of Pop" will be missed (R.I.P.)

It's very weird I had a Dream about MJ the night before he passed, But It was the other great Michael Jordan. I actually met him in this Dream and he signed a Air Jordan t-shirt I had. It had to be a Dream because If It was real I would of sprinted to one of my unworn pairs of kicks like the 14's and have him sign those. It's a bad day for Music. My favorite Pop star of all time has reached his final resting point. He was a great Inspiration to me just read my bio on here. I will miss Michael along with many other fans. I know your really sad, Divine owner of Make over Barber shop in Brooklyn. I can't even elaborate at the moment. A once living Legend from my time has passed. My Condolences go out to the Jackson family. I'm listening to Thriller the song as I type this. I Love the Intro It sound's like a ride down a sunny highway theme. I will be spinning a Michael Jackson tribute at Wealthy Ho$tage this weekend. If you can't make It there watch me live at www.stickam.com/djPaulkersey. I can't type no more bout to choke up I'm out with "Break of Dawn"

Sneaker Freaker Magazine Review

These Lance Armstrong inspired sneakers on the cover above are dope.

There's magazines and then there's magazines for the aficionado, that's comprehensive and full of detail for the like minded individuals like City and Myself. I must say I was impressed with Issue 15 of Sneaker Freaker. I didn't put the issue down all night. In between commercials of Law & Order on USA, I looked at dope kicks and read some cool commentary. There's few magazines that I take time to read like that (GQ, Antenna, occasional Sole Collectors, Frank 151-Chapter 36, oohh Nudies and I'm not talking bout the jeans...lol I really enjoyed the artwork) But back to Sneaker Freaker the High resolution pictures were great, there's so many different flavors It's like the Baskin Robbins of Kicks, If your a true sneaker head your bound to find something you will gladly rock, I know I found several pieces in this one issue. I always loved 991s by New Balance when I seen the color way in here, I said to myself I got to have 'em. I also took pleasure of reading about the Luxury kicks in here as well, no not the Nike Air Yeezy's although I wouldn't mind a pair in the collection of never rocked. Yeah there's certain kicks that I own and don't wear cause I Love 'em so much. I developed a pretty sick habit, but It's normal to sneaker people. During my tenure at Footlocker years ago, If there was a shoe that I really was big on I would purchase two pairs one to wear and the other to remain Deadstock. But back to the Lux kicks, I Love Louis Vuitton products. From there bags to card holders. The sneakers That Kanye West worked on with Marc Jacobs are awesome, you just got to see them, The 'Mr. Hudson', The Jasper', and 'the Don' I really like the all red color to them. The Gucci kicks are cool too, The Nike's inspired by them are definitely one's that a lot of people would want to pick up. The piece about Mache "The Poughkeepsie painter" was pretty cool too. I know the recession is kicking are butts for some of us, you just got the make the best of It. Bad things don't last forever. Soon we'll all be able to buy sneakers with Force/ like Air again. Don't mind me I'm a DJ, not a rapper. Even If you don't have the purchasing power to get what you want just picking up issues of Sneaker Freaker will keep you vigilant on the Sneaker game. Until your ready to do your thing. Be sure to grab the latest copy.

City had to rep with the Original Heads Graffiti Flavor

This is straight art done by City with the help of his talented siblings, I won't tell you where It was done. Unless he decides to tell you but It is strictly dope. The backdrop is so Original.

Sad day for the NYPD

My Condolences go out to Officer Omar Edwards family.

Red Bull Cola may contain Coke literally

There's Reports that Red Bull Cola may contain small traces of the cocaine alkaloid. The Austria-based company Rauch Trading AG has yet to comment on the issue. But the product has already been banned in Germany where they have done the testing and found 0.13 micrograms of cocaine per can of the drink. The Bolivians love this publicity for the Coca leaf's right now. This is a excellent opportunity to show that coca isn't harmful — with or without the cocaine alkaloid. Next time you want to get some ski legally buy a bunch of Red Bull and take em back to back. Just kidding, But I'm pretty sure this Company is going to rectify this issue immediately cause Red Bull has become quite popular in recent years. From the Convenience stores like 7 eleven, Supermarkets worldwide, to the clubs where people need some type of energy to keep going. I remember when the drink first came out. I was in High School and the delivery guy for Red Bull gave me two free cans.
